Where to find us

We are situated on Bricknell Avenue at the junction with Fairfax Avenue and opposite Kelvin Hall School playing fields.

Because of our central situation we can be easily approached from North, East and West Hull as well as from the City Centre, which is quite convenient for those patients wishing to travel from work to their appointment.

The clinic has a sign which can be seen from the roadside and the forecourt is well lit in the evenings for patients convenience and safety.

We are situated on several public transport routes, both from town and the Cottingham area.

Please see the map for further details of our position.

Parking

You may choose to park on Bricknell Avenue itself, or use the forecourt of the clinic, which has room for a number of vehicles. Try not to block other patients in if at all possible. If in doubt ask at reception. The clinic is well lit in the evenings for patients convenience and safety.

Reception

Our reception area is open and friendly. We do not sit behind glass screens taking your details. The administration staff will greet you and make you feel welcome and at ease. A few simple details will be taken from you and then you will be asked to take a seat in our waiting areas, of which there are two - one upstairs and one on the ground floor. If you are not comfortable using the stairs, you must let the reception staff know and they will accommodate you in a downstairs treatment room.

Waiting areas

These areas are small but comfortable with a hot/cold drinks machine from which you can help yourself to water, tea, coffee or hot chocolate. There are usually some magazines and reading material for you to peruse whilst waiting to be taken through for your appointment. We have two WC’s just off the waiting areas, again one upstairs and one downstairs, which may be used at your convenience.

Hopefully your time in these areas will be kept to a minimum since we aim to take our patients through to the treatment areas within 5 minutes of their allocated time if at all possible!

There may be occasional times however, where a clinic is running a late. This could be due to a particularly problematic patient or an emergency referral. Where possible we will try to advise you of any delay that you may have at the time. Please be understanding in these circumstances. We will not keep you waiting any longer than we have to!

Treatment rooms

We have four fully equipped treatment rooms as well as a small gym room that is frequently used for our patients requiring rehabilitation.

Two treatment rooms are upstairs and two are on the lower floor, along with the rehabilitation room.

Each of the treatment rooms has a variable height manipulation couch and modern, up to date electrotherapy equipment, which is regularly tested and serviced by a medical equipment technician.

Wall charts and models of anatomical structures are conveniently situated in order to help your therapist to explain your diagnosis and treatment to you.

At all times during your treatment you will have the means to attract the attention of your therapist should he/she not be in the room with you. This is for your safety as well as a means of making you feel more relaxed and reassured, knowing that if you have any concerns at all, your therapist is at hand!
